Anyone who wants to design a garden just for dogs is alright by me! He is a canine hero down at the Kennel club in Ongar Sainsbury’s. I love the way he thinks about how humans assume we dogs want to wander through the undergrowth. I’m not going to be the one to tell him that we don’t really have any plan to follow scent, but just change direction to confuse our humans. Most of the time we are looking to find a good spot to dig up plants. Hope Monty’s dogs don’t dig up his best aspidistra, or fiddle with his lupins.
I’m not a big radio listener so not sure what part Jo Whitley had in the design but I’m guessing Monty is not big on soft furnishings so the pet sofa could be one of her ideas.
It was a bit of a worry to hear that some of the plants are poisonous to dogs and I for one did not know how dangerous Yew (Taxcus Baccata) was to our kind. Shame of it is that even now I know, I don’t think I could recognise if it bit me. Only question in my mind; are they safe to pee on?
